Depending on their age, kids can start helping out with household chores and tasks as early as two years old. These chores and tasks range from making their bed to picking up their toys.

When assigning chores, it’s critical that we keep our children’ ages and abilities in mind. With the right training and encouragement, you’d be surprised what your kids can accomplish. Below some age appropriate chore list ideas below to consider for your home.

Age appropriate chores for kids age 2-3 years old

  • Make Bed
  • Pick up Toys and Books
  • Put Laundry in hamper
  • Help feed pets

Finally, remember to keep it fun! Most little children WANT to help out around the house. Assigning small chores like the ones listed above allow your kids to feel like a contributing member of the family.
